The Baking Academy Trip

On the 30th of September the Home Economics students, went on a trip to
Dublin’s Baking Academy. They were given a demonstration on cupcake baking
and cake designing with royal icing.
They then got to decorate a box full of cupcakes with various colours of icing
and used different shape cutters and different icing bags. They thoroughly
enjoyed this experience and learned many helpful tips in decorating cakes and
cupcakes alike.
They thought it was a very beneficial trip as some of the students have never
done anything like this before. The Academy was very fancy and well planned
out, maybe some of the students might like to do something like that in the
future as a job/business!
