‘Chalk Talk’ is a Transition Year Mini Company producing educational colouring books and
accompanying chalkboards for children to practice on. They also make individual chalkboards.
The educational colouring book which was professionally printed locally in Lynch Print is A5 in size
and has dot-to-dot letters and numbers that teach children in the age group of 3-5 years to write the
alphabet, along with a colour in picture associated with each letter. The accompanying chalkboard
is also A5 in size with rounded ages to make it more child-friendly. They are able to practice the
letters and numbers they have learnt from the educational colouring book on this chalkboard.
The individual chalkboards are made to suit anyone’s personality as they can be made in any shape
and any colour which makes them unique and suitable for all ages. They are hardwearing, great gifts
or household decorations as well as a useful memo.
The company is made up of eight students: Anita Armstrong (Managing Director), Abigael Pierce,
Ellie Fay-Foran, Daniel Soden, Leanne Bell, Saragh Mills, David Burns and John McNeill, who are
really looking forward to representing the North East region
