talks that were taking place around the zoo on many different habitats. It was a very enjoyable trip and we would like to thank

Mr. Patterson and Ms. Sheridan for making the trip possible.
CPR for Schools
All 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students took part in the CPR 4 Schools
training programme. This is an initiative of the Irish Heart Foundation
in an effort to create a generation of lifesavers who in an emergency
situation will have the skills and knowledge to recognise someone in
cardiac arrest and perform CPR.
Mr Kavanagh and Ms McElwaine taught them when and how to
perform CPR, and they practised their skills on manikins provided
by the Irish Heart Foundation. Students were encouraged to
share their skills and knowledge with family, increasing the
number of people who could perform CPR, and perhaps save
a life.
