TY ENGLAND TRIP
On Wednesday 5th April 2017, the transition year pupils headed off
in the early hours of the morning for Dublin Port. After travelling to
Dublin Port, we boarded the ferry with excitement. Three and a half
hours later, the boat had arrived at Holyhead - much to our relief.
We headed straight for Liverpool City Centre where we got a guided
bus tour around the city. We saw many attractions including Penny
Lane, Chinatown, Albert Docks etc. The bus stopped for an hour to
let us walk around the centre of Liverpool.
We hopped back on the bus, and made our way to our hotel in
Bolton. We checked into the hotel and went to our rooms. At 7
o’clock we had a delicious dinner in the restaurant. During our free
time, some of us went swimming and used the gym in the leisure
centre.
On Thursday, we travelled to Alton Towers in Stoke-On-Trent. We all
really enjoyed the roller coasters and the great weather! Some of
the rides included The Smiler, Thirteen, Galactica, Rita and Oblivion.
We spent a fun 5 hours in Alton Towers before we made our way
back to the hotel, everyone still on a high from the roller coasters.
