Pancake Tuesday
On February the 14th Live Lounge Banking held a
pancake Tuesday for Tallaght Children’s hospital with
help and supervision from Ms. Glynn. The event was
held in the home economics room and was open to
the whole school, students and teachers alike. Each
pancake cost two euros and came with the option of a
variety of toppings.
The pancakes were prepared in the morning by the
bank team with the help of Ms. Glynn. All hobs were
firing as the team raced to cook enough pancakes to
feed an entire school. Ten bowls of batter and several
burnt pancakes later and the event was ready to kick off.
Students and teachers queued out the door waiting
restlessly for their pancakes. A row of tables was set up
with all the pancakes and toppings ready to go while
people paid for their pancakes at the door. The door was
opened and people poured in to buy their pancakes.
By the end of lunch the bank team had only pancake
scraps left to enjoy however the event raised €216 for
Tallaght children’s hospital.
