JUNIOR HOCKEY
The Junior Girls hockey did extremely well this year and year and travelled to our many matches. I would also like to
narrowly missed out on a place in this years final despite thank the girls themselves for displaying great dedication
winning almost every single match they played. They and sportsmanship both on and off the pitch and look
were coached by Miss Reilly and Sara Whitley with Grace forward to another successful year of hockey in 2016. Well
Komolafe acting as assistant coach throughout the year. done girls!!
The team enjoyed victory over teams from Loreto Navan, By Claire Reilly
Navan Mercy, Drogheda Grammar and Headfort, only one
game was conceded against Dundalk Grammar.
The girls trained very hard throughout the winter months
and played each game with great enthusiasm. Despite
missing out on a place in the final they remained dedicated
right until the end. We also played a friendly game against
Cavan Loreto who have a new team starting this year and
we welcome a new and local contender for the Meath cup!
We would like to thank all who supported us throughout the

SENIOR HOCKEY
This year we played in the Meath League, the team showed
experience by advancing to the finals for the first time in a
number of years which was an excellent achievement in
itself.
We played a total of four matches. Our first match was
against Wilsons’ Hospital School which we drew with no
score. For our second match we played Mercy College
Navan which we unfortunately lost 2-0. In the semi-final we
played Wilsons’ Hospital School in an intense match that
was decided by penalty flicks in which Grace Komolafe and
Hannah McHugh led us to victory. After an exciting final
game, we ended up losing against Mercy College Navan
when it went to extra time and 8 second penalties.
Overall it was a very successful year and a brilliant
experience getting to the final. By Hannah McHugh and Amy Smyth
