Cookery Demonstrarion

On Thursday 10th March 2016, Chef Adrian Martin, of TV3’s “The Seven
O’Clock Show” paid a visit to RSC to give a cookery demonstration to
Transition Year students. Chef Adrian began by informing us that RSC was
the first school he had ever visited and, after visiting nearly two hundred
schools over 3 years, he was delighted to be back.
Chef Adrian began by speaking about the growing obesity crisis in Ireland,
and how cooking meals from scratch, as opposed to buying processed and
take-away foods can go a long way to help solve this crisis.

Chef Adrian then began his cookery demonstration, showing students
how to prepare cheesy pizza rolls, a healthy chicken curry with “spiralized”
courgette noodles and finally a healthy version of steak and chips. Needless
to say all students were impressed by Chef Adrian’s culinary skills, and
thoroughly enjoyed tasting the mouth-watering food. Danny McKeown,
James Crossfield and Grace Komolafe all showed off their culinary skills by
assisting Chef Adrian with his demonstration.

Overall an enjoyable afternoon was had by all.
