JunioR Badminton competition 2014.

There was an air of excitement and anticipation on the morning of the 14th of January as we all prepared for the annual
Co. Cavan Badminton Competition in the Leisure Complex. When we arrived all the courts were set up and ready to go. We
were delighted to get the opportunity to warm up and practice for a while. We were
then paired off and put into teams. There was a great atmosphere as all the teams
arrived for the highlight of the Badminton social calander. Everyone played to the
best of their ability and if you were unfortunate to lose a match you got a second
chance in the shield

The winners and the runners up received a trophy for their great achievements.
Jodie Chapman and I (Maria Lynch) took part in the shield cup and were delighted
to win it. Laura Graham and Helen Wilson were runners up in the ladies cup and
Mark Stewart and Adam Dunne in the boys’ cup. Everyone did exceptionally well
and enjoyed the competition.
We would like to thank Mr.Ames, Ms. Mc Elwaine and Ms. Dennigan who helped
organise the competition and made it a success.
