CúCHUlAinn CUp

This year was the fifth running of the Cuclulainn Cup. This competition has eight
regional teams made up of schools of a Protestant/Catholic ethos. Our school and
boys from Breifne College made up the Cavan regional team. Following some
coaching by Eoin Morrissey of the Ulster Council. We set off to Garvaghey in Co.
Tyrone for the blitz. Each game consisted of one half of hurling and one of Gaelic
football. While most lads had some experience of football, hurling was a new game
to all. The day the hurling section was very enjoyable and we ended up with a Cup
by winning all four of our matches.

The day was great fun and it was good to meet up with lads from other schools.
