Student Additional Learning Needs

Royal School Cavan offers a learning support service. This service supports and encourages students
with learning diffi culties, working in cooperation with subject teachers and parents. It aims to give each
student with learning diffi culties the chance to succeed in a normal school environment. This support can
be offered on an individual, small group, in-class or whole class basis. Special Needs Assistants offer other
support to individual students and are an important part of the Learning Support team. We are delighted
to have opened our second Autism class this September. This educational facility ensures that every
child has the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing and supportive environment. With a dedicated team of
teachers and SNAs, and tailored learning programs, we are committed to providing the highest quality of
inclusive and adaptive education for all our students.

Past Pupils’ Association

The Past Pupils Association endeavours to strengthen links between the school and former pupils, where
pupils from far and near can keep in touch with the school community and also with one another. Should
you wish to apply for membership or know someone who does, please contact the school offi ce.
