Later in the school year both teams participated in the
Virginia Girls Rugby cup blitz. The junior girls got a chance
to show off their newly learned skills, winning their first
game. Meanwhile, the senior girls were victorious in
all three matches against St. Claire’s, Bailieborough
Community School and Largy College, bringing home the
Virginia RFC blitz cup.
There is still much to come with contact rugby
tournaments scheduled for after Easter as well as some
friendly matches. Overall the year has been, and is
continually expected to be, very successful.
On behalf of the Girls Rugby team we would like to
wish our sixth year team members and coaches, Sarah,
Nicole, Jennifer, Grace, James and Philip the best of
luck in their Leaving Certificate exams.
